The tons of hoi polloi worldwide living with dementia could more than triple by 2050, a new report reveals. Currently, an estimated 44 million males and females worldwide have dementia. That number is expected to go as far as 76 million in 2030 and 135 million by 2050. The projected thousand of people with dementia in 2050 is now 17 percent higher than ADI estimated in the 2009 World Alzheimer Report.
