Obesity and smoking proliferate the danger of implant failure in women who undergo breast reconstruction soon after knocker removal, according to a new study. Researchers analyzed data from nearly 15000 women, aged 40 to 60, who had instinctive reconstruction after breast removal (mastectomy). They found that the risk of implant depletion was three times higher in smokers and two to three times higher in obese women.
